Arbeloa, Aquilani, and Sinclair. Catching up with some ex-Reds on the move on deadline day.

Liverpool have had a quiet deadline day so far, with the biggest stories Mario Balotelli’s imminent Nice move and failures to shift Mamadou Sakho, Lazar Markovic, and Tiago Ilori. Barring a late shock, there will be no new incomings. But a few former Reds are on the move today.

Alvaro Arbeloa, the 33-year-old right back who spent three years at the club before moving to Real Madrid, has spent the summer a free agent without a club after his contract expired in June. He is currently undergoing a medical and putting the finishing touches on a West Ham move, where he will join Slaven Bilic’s squad as a depth option who can cover either fullback position.

Jerome Sinclair, who Liverpool lost to Watford for an agreed fee of £4M in training compensation this summer, has struggled to make a case for a first team role at his new club. As a result, he’s heading to the Championship on a six month loan and Watford is currently finalizing an agreement with Norwich City.

Finally, Alberto Aquilani’s stock remains low, as after failing to live up to his £20M transfer in the summer of 2009 he has bounced around on the continent. Liverpool sold him for good to Fiorentina in 2012 after loan spells at Juventus and AC Milan, and since then he has spent three seasons in Florence and one at Sporting CP in Portugal. Today, the 32-year-old has completed a move to Serie A minnows Pescara.
